Ladies Rock Camp 2.0
Ladies Rock Camp is a weekend music workshop for people ages 19 and up. And this is how it works. Whether you've been playing music your whole life or have never touched a guitar, you will join a band, write a song and play a show. All of this happens in less than 72 hours. It's so BAD ASS!Ladies Rock Camp 2.0 is a slightly different take on the workshop because there was actually a pre-requisite. You had to have some music experience or have attended a previous Ladies Rock Camp session. Which allowed for some really interesting additions! There were new classes. Instrument instructors had more time and really pushed themselves and the campers to the next level. In the end, we all got to hear some new great songs.Petal War and Tamar-kali played really riveting sets. Caryn (Mortals) taught a room of people how to book a show. She shared some advice on how to avoid being in a bummer show situation. Emma Alabaster did an improv class that I missed but had an affect on how campers listened to each other. Melanie McLean shot this really cool mini doc and edited it in time for the showcase.Day 1Petal WarDay 2Tamar-kaliDay 3
