Zeena Koda

This is part of a new photo series I’m working on. It is a collection of photographs of badass women involved in metal, hardcore and the borderline metal/punk/avant-guarde worlds.

Meet my buddy Zeena Koda. She has a radio show on Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal channel in the morning, works at a hip-hop magazine during the day and sings for Gazelle at night. She is a hardcore Jersey girl and Jersey hardcore girl at heart. During our shoot we had a really nice chat about being ethnic in the metal/harcore scene. She said something that I can totally vibe with, “I love that I can go to a metal show and then go salsa dancing right after.” Mvlti cvlti pride.
